Johannes Hahn
Former EU-Commissioner for Budget and Administration
Dr. Johannes Hahn served as European Commissioner from 2010 to 2024, holding portfolios including Regional Policy, Enlargement Negotiations and Neighbourhood Policy, as well as Budget and Administration. From 2007 to 2010, he held the position of Federal Minister for Science and Research in the Republic of Austria. Prior to this, he held various political mandates. Beginning in 1996, he served for seven years as a member of the Vienna Provincial Parliament, followed by four years as a non-executive City Councillor in Vienna. Dr. Hahn earned his Doctor of Philosophy (Dr. phil.) degree from the University of Vienna in 1987.
