Nikolaus is a Managing Director and Senior Partner in BCG’s Munich office and has been working for the firm since 1998. He is the Global Leader of BCG’s Global Advantage practice, supporting clients on an array of globalization related topics: global trade, localization, international joint ventures, and digital ecosystems. He lived in Asia for ten years, and has worked in most of the world’s emerging markets.

As a global expert in connectivity, autonomous mobility, carsharing, and fleet management, Nikolaus is the Founder and Director of BCG’s Center for Mobility Innovation, a team of urban mobility experts and digital business builders.

Since 2012 he leads BCG’s cooperation with the WEF on the Future of Mobility, incl. Autonomous Mobility, Social Inclusion in Mobility and Software-Driven Mobility.

Nikolaus holds a PhD in Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen and a master in business administration from the University of St. Gallen. Since 2021 he is Honorary Professor at the Institute for Business Administration and Mobility at the University of St. Gallen.
