As Director of the Albertina Modern and Chief Curator of Contemporary Art at the Albertina, Angela Stief is responsible for the collection management of the Albertina’s contemporary art holdings after 1945 with over 65.000 works of art.
In her function, she plans exhibitions for the Albertina and is responsible for their academic supervision from the exhibition concept to the academic publication. At the same time, she coordinates and supervises various projects and cooperations with international museums and institutions and heads the Albertina’s Contemporary Team.
Her most recent project is the Albertina’s Modern Circle, which she is currently setting up along international lines. This exclusive circle of collectors and art enthusiasts is dedicated to diversifying, supplementing and expanding the Albertina’s collection holdings.
