Othmar Karas is President of the European Forum Alpbach and served as First Vice-President of the European Parliament (2022–2024) as well as a Member of the European Parliament (1999–2024). Prior to that, Karas held various positions, including Member of the Austrian Parliament and Secretary General of the Austrian People's Party.
