Karl Nehammer is Vice-President of the European Investment Bank (EIB) and Member of its Management Committee since September 2025. He oversees strategic portfolios including TechEU, digital economy, life sciences, net-zero and disruptive technologies, as well as EIB operations in Ukraine and the Eastern Neighbourhood. Previously, he served as Federal Chancellor of Austria (2021–2025) and represented the country at the European Council.
