Johannes Hahn is President of the Austrian Central Bank. He served as European Commissioner from 2010 to 2024 (for Budget and Administration, Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations as well as Regional and Urban Policy). Prior to that, he served as Austrian Minister for Science and Research and is regarded as an experienced European policymaker. Before he held various management positions in international companies. Hahn holds a doctoral degree in philosophy from the University of Vienna.
