Roswitha Stadlober was one of the world’s best slalom skiers in the 1980s. In addition to eight World Cup victories, she won the slalom discipline classification twice and silver at the 1987 World Championships in Crans Montana. In 1986 she was voted to Austria’s Sportswoman of the Year. In March 2010, , the sports enthusiast and mother of two founded founded the association Karriere Danach (KA:DA). As managing director she supported ahtletes in reconciling sport with education and in the transition to post-sport professional life. Stadlober was Vice President of the Austrian Ski Federation (ÖSV) for ten years before she was elected to the first female President of the Federation in October 2021.
