Rocco Bräuniger started his career at Amazon in January 2006, and currently serves as the VP, Country Manager Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. In this position, he is responsible for ensuring that customers can find everything they want to buy online on Amazon on the German-language website, in accordance with Amazon’s global mission. He also oversees Amazon’s expansion in EU (The Netherlands, Sweden, and Poland). At Amazon, he has gone through a variety of stations. He worked in supply chain management, managed product categories such as “Outdoor”, “Sports” or “Home & Garden”. He supported the opening of Amazon in India and – as Country Manager – was responsible for launching Amazon’s presence in Australia for two and a half years. Rocco was vice-chairman of the supervisory board of Amazon’s fulfilment center in Leipzig and worked in many areas of logistics for short periods of time to get to know the variety of jobs and the working world at first hand. Most recently, Rocco was responsible for the European consumables business. Before joining Amazon, Rocco worked for a management consultancy firm. Rocco studied business administration in Bayreuth and earned a Master of Business Administration in Boston.
