General Robert Brieger is the Chairman of the European Union Military Committee. He has held numerous key military positions. He served as Chief of Defence of the Austrian Armed Forces and Chief of Staff to the Austrian Federal Minister of Defence. His roles included Director of Logistics and Operations within the Austrian Ministry of Defence,& Force Commander for EU Forces in Bosnia and Herzegovina. General Brieger has been awarded various honors, including the Grand Golden Decoration of Honour for Services to the Republic of Austria.
