Joschka Fischer is a German politician and former member of the Green Party. He served as Foreign Minister and Vice Chancellor from 1998 to 2005 under Chancellor Gerhard Schröder. Fischer played a key role in German foreign policy, especially during the NATO intervention in Kosovo and in opposing the Iraq War. Before that, he was Environment Minister in Hesse and a leading figure of the Greens. Since leaving politics, he has worked as a consultant and speaker on geopolitical and economic issues.
