Jacob is Research Director at the IBM Institute for Business Value where he is responsible for leading research on topics related to technology, innovation and sustainability. He has extensive experience advising companies around the world on their global operations. He has also advised governments as an expert and economist on competitiveness, foreign direct investment (FDI), sector/cluster analysis, and innovation. Jacob holds a Ph.D. in public policy and economics from Bath University in the UK.
