Born in Austria, Hermann holds a PhD in physics from the King’s College, Cambridge. As a successful entrepreneur and venture capitalist he has co-founded and invested in some of Europe’s most successful tech-companies like ARM, Cambridge Silicon Radio, Solexa, Entropic Research Labs and Icera. Hermann received a CBE, a KBE, is a Fellow of the UK Institute of Physics and of the Royal Academy of Engineering, is a Fellow of King’s College, Cambridge and a member of the Austrian Research Council. To support the Austrian ecosystem, Hermann founded I.E.C.T. and invested in more than 30 Austrian start-ups. Hermann Hauser is Vice-Chair of the EIC Advisory Board which aims to grow Europe’s tech sector by investing up to € 10 billion until 2027 together with the European VC industry.
